By God's Grace ~ Through God's Word ~ For God's Glory!

A. A. Hodge (1823-1886), was the son of Charles Hodge.  He spent three years as a missionary in India, fourteen years as a pastor, and the remainder of his life teaching systematic theology at Allegheny seminary (1864-1877) and at Princeton (1877-1886).  He urged that the aim of every Christian teacher should be to produce a vitalizing impression - giving students theology, exposition, demonstration, orthodoxy, learning, but giving all this to them warm.
