Walking the Road Less Traveled

(Based on Matthew 7:13-27)

 Walking the road less traveled

Is not a life of ease;

It follows the steps of our Master,

It keeps us on our knees.

Walking the road less traveled

Is a tough road to choose;

It means dying to self and living for Him,

But in the end you will never lose.

Walking the road less traveled

Is what really sets us free;

For in doing the will of our Father,

We discover all that He meant us to be.

Walking the road less traveled

Prepares us for what comes next;

It leads us home to our heavenly mansion,

It’s a journey with no regrets.

Walking the road less traveled

Is not a life of ease;

In the end it’s the best road traveled,

To those who do believe.

May we walk the road less traveled knowing that we have received everything needed to walk through the finished work of Jesus Christ imparted to us by the Holy Spirit.
